Gina Raye Felts, who just happens to have been in my creative writing class last semester, has a poem published in this month’s Nashville Arts Magazine.  Her beautiful poem, “Lyric,” is just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Nashville artist Jorge Arrieta has his work in this art show in New York City. The exhibition, “Visual Voices: Freedom of Expression,” is sponsored by Fordham University.  In Jorge’s words, there are “some freakin incredible artists” in the show.  Way to go, Jorge!

MANIFEST HOPE: DC gathers together a diverse array of the nation’s most talented visual artists under one roof to mark the Presidential Inauguration and encourages artists and activists to maintain the momentum to bring about true change in the United States.

Jorge Arrieta is a Nashville artist who was featured in this show. Out of more than 1000 submissions, 20 were chosen – 5 in each of 4 categories.  Look for his in Workers’ Rights.
